Mentor Graphics Showcases FPGA Design Tools at Programmable World 2002

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 2002--Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq:MENT - news) will showcase the new Precision(TM) Synthesis platform at Programmable World 2002 on April 17.

The demo will highlight the Xilinx System Generator for PowerPC(TM), which creates IP blocks for the Xilinx® Virtex-II Pro(TM) family of devices. In addition the Mentor Graphics®-Xilinx demonstration will be available on a worldwide basis via video-on-demand.

The scalable Precision Synthesis environment maximizes the performance of the new generation of FPGAs, offering an intuitive design tool, automatic optimization features and a new incremental timing engine. In addition to Precision Synthesis, Mentor Graphics offers a full range of FPGA tools, including products for design creation and management, simulation, co-verification, embedded systems, intellectual property, synthesis and FPGA-on-board.
